Rooftop Terrace

If you want to just relax and enjoy being "above all the hustle and bustle," you can go up to the terrace on the roof. Hang out in a hammock or chair in the shade, like Ross and Stacey Sangster from England, on an extended tour in Central and South America. They checked out the other hotels in Corozal before settling on the Midador Hotel.

The view of Corozal Town and of the bay is unsurpassed. It is even possible to see some of the archaelogical sites in the distance. There is the pier and the small bayside park below (right).

At the end of the day, you have a peaceful, magnificent view of the town as the sun sets, bringing another day in Corozal to a close. Of course, as anywhere, some sunsets are more magnificent than others. They are all beautiful.

As you continue to watch, you will see that the town does not sleep at sundown, but begins to awake to new life at night. At first there is a twilight haze over the town, and then the lights begin to come on one by one, giving a new and different life to the scene below.
